They Have Never Lived With One

You can't see him but sweet PoohGirl is on her daddy's lap in this picture. She was always with him and didn't have much to do with anyone else. She also slept beside him every night.

After her daddy passed away in 2015 she was never the same. She stopped eating for several days and when she began eating again she ate very little. She would eat for a few weeks and stop eating again for 3 or 4 days. We tried different things and many different foods to try to get her to eat better but she refused. She kept this routine up for over two years. She eventually got sick because of not eating enough and she lost too much weight. Nothing we did helped her get better. She missed her daddy so much she could not stop grieving.

She would lay in my lap and sleep at my feet after my Shug passed away...but I just was not her daddy that she loved so very much.

Those who say cats and dogs are not capable of loving or showing emotions have never lived with a cat or dog. They love deeply and grieve, sometimes they grieve for a very long time. No one will ever be able to convince me otherwise.

  1. Do so agree. Cats love radiators, but their attention to them does not compare to when they sit vigil to a fevered loved person.

    1. That is so true. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I visited your site...it is very nice. One of my family members has been working on our family genealogy for many years...it is very interesting to find out about our ancestors.

    1. I missed my friends her on Blogger that does not like to go to WP. I will post about Chancy on here from time to time. It is just the two of us now and there is more time for blogging. I never did like Google+ and I read that they are doing away with it. I hope you can follow me here and it will be easier for you than on WP. Hugs to you and nose kisses for sweet Katie.

  8. Hi dear Mags, I'm so sorry to learn about PoohGirl, and I agree 100 % with you that animals have feelings. I have seen this in cats, dogs, and calves and cows and I'm sure many other pets like birds.

I'm glad that Google is getting rid of Google +. I never intended to subscribe but when I clicked on a youtube link that someone sent me, I was automatically subscribed but I didn't want it. I am so glads that Google is removing it. I'll go and subscribe to your blog.
    Hugs, Julia
