It's About Time

I think Chancy and I are in agreement that it is time things got back to more of what we know as normal around our place.

We have had thunderstorms that brought lightening strikes, downed  trees and power outages. Chancy does not do well when there is lightening and thunder and I don't do well when there are power outages. Besides all of that we had no TV or internet for several hours twice within two weeks

This morning he was way ready to go outside and check on his yard. He seemed to have found all in order but for a couple of dogs running up the road. They soon left and he enjoyed being in the yard for awhile with no intruders around.

Chancy is under a blanket on my bed snoozing and I am tempted to join him but I guess I better find something more constructive to do. I would love to be outside but the yard is wet, it is windy, cloudy and a bit nippy. Not ideal time for me to be outside. Maybe I can get around to visiting all or at least some of my wonderful blogging friends.

We are not looking forward to storm season but we are happy that spring is here. Have a great day and week everyone.

Hugs and nose kisses from Chancy and me.

  2. in AR you wait for tornados, in FL we wait for hurricanes.. and the weather is totally out of whack these days. I know you are ready for spring. Tell Chancy he is LOOKING GOOD... and to keep those dogs off his property...I do so hate to be with out power or internet and when it is both. YOWSA

    1. You got that right and neither are good. You are right about the weather being out of whack too. I will pass your message on to Chancy. He does a very good job of keeping the dogs away from our fence and me. lol

  4. I am so happy that all is back to normal, power outages are the worst, especially if they last more than a few hours!

    1. We have had some outages last weeks from either tornadoes or ice storms. I have not been looking forward to tornado season and it has begun.

  5. Chancy looks so handsome and at home in his own yard. He looks like the boss and the other dogs better not invade his yard. He will keep you safe.

I hope that you will have warmer weather and that soon you will be able to work in your yard.
I don't do well without electricity although I can tolerate it when the internet is down, I seem to get more done in the house. I usually sleep well except when it's windy. For some reason, I never sleep well when the wind is blowing hard.
    Take care.
    Hugs, Julia

    1. Chancy does like his yard and I am sure he appreciates the compliment...he loves to be made over and given lots of attention. :) He for sure is boss and is very picky about who he wants to get near me or his yard.

It is nice here today supposed to get up into the mid 70's...windy but I can deal with that. I don't do well without electricity but the internet does not bother me so much. I always have plenty to do and don't spend a lot of time on the internet most days. I am sorry you don't sleep well if it is windy. I don't mind wind unless it gets over 20 to 25 miles an hour any speed over that usually is with tornadoes or dangerous thunderstorms.

  6. Storms are not fun, i hope you get plenty of sun and only just enough rain to keep the grass growing and the farmers happy.

The Batman mask was stopping up the vacuum at church, it came from the 3-year-old Sunday school class costume box.

  9. Losing power is one of the worst things! And poor Chancy, lightening and thunder are not fun at all. One of my boys doesn't like lightening, either.
Hopefully storm season will not be too bad. Happy Spring to you. Have a great day! xo
